Who are Boutique Care Homes?
We are an independent, family run care home provider dedicated to providing high quality and compassionate dementia, nursing, residential, and respite care to the elderly community, in a truly home from home environment.
From the beginning our objective has been simple, to deliver the highest quality care by a dedicated team in a safe, modern and warm environment. Our teams are empathetic, highly motivated and passionate in providing care tailored to our residents’ individual needs.
Our goal is to enrich our residents' lives with meaningful, informative and fun activities with a genuinely nurturing care team who believe life is for living and will cherish those special moments with the people in their care.
How many Care Homes do Boutique Care Homes currently have?
We have two homes open – The Burlington in Shepperton, Surrey; and Brampton Manor in Newmarket, Suffolk. Our third home in Boradstairs, Kent, is being developed and due to open in 2022.
Target locations?
We are looking for sites in affluent areas, in the town centre or edge of town with excellent transport links, ideally with a prominent road frontage. We consider a wide range of prior uses, such as car showrooms, office, warehouse, and more if the location is right.
How many new stores are you targeting?
We aim to build 10-12 new care homes.
Size requirements?
1 acre plus.
Additional requirements?
Sites should be mostly level, and regularly shaped. Care homes typically come in three shapes – a ‘T’, ‘L’ or ‘U’, which requires a rectangular or square site.
Planning consent?
Our use class is C2. We will consider all other use classes.
Freehold or Leasehold?
Freehold
Recent openings or new restaurants in the pipeline?
We have two new care homes in our pipeline. One is currently under construction in Broadstairs, Kent.
Additional Questions:
What are the main challenges you face when acquiring new property?
It’s always location, location, location. Finding a centrally located site with the right balance of visibility and accessibility, but that we can also turn into a peaceful environment for our residents to relax in, is a challenge.
Favourite holiday destination?
I went on holiday to Cornwall this summer – hard to beat when the sun is shining! Great food, friendly people, wonderful beaches and gorgeous natural scenery.
