Places with a story
Loungers is seeking good-quality suburban high streets, market towns and town and city centre locations with strong footfall, a healthy demographic and an immediate catchment of around 15,000 people.
Character and heritage buildings are preferred. Existing restaurants, buildings that can be brought back into use and longer-term development opportunities will all be considered.
What makes a suitable site?
A strong local catchment
Quality locations with established communities, good daytime footfall and proximity to an evening offer.
Space for an all-day venue
At least 3,750 sq ft suitable for café, bar and restaurant use, typically available on a 15-year lease.
Character and potential
Heritage buildings, existing restaurants and properties with scope for a new use or redevelopment.
Coastal and waterfront settings
Characterful sites with potential for outdoor seating overlooking the water are of particular interest.
Bringing waterfront places back to life
Following partnerships with local authorities in Paignton, Clacton, Whitby and Ipswich, and openings in Broadstairs, Tynemouth and Bristol, Loungers is looking for further coastal and waterfront opportunities.
Projects have included converting existing restaurants, reviving dilapidated warehouses and investing in longer-term development sites.
